Abas ERP: ERP system with simple scalability and adaptability
Following the restructuring of the company from a trading to a manufacturing company, the old, purely text-based company software was no longer able to meet the new requirements. A new ERP system with a graphical user interface was to replace the old one. The smooth transfer of data from the previous system and the price/performance ratio convinced GATHER to use Abas ERP. The IT system specialist MAIT carried out the installation of the new business software. At the same time, MAIT also implemented the necessary IT infrastructure, which was tailored to the company's standards.
The implementation of the ERP system is accompanied by the restructuring of various work processes at GATHER. The company's software will be used in the following areas: costing, scheduling, sales, production, materials management, EDI and purchasing. The company uses Abas Scan and DMS (Document Management System) as plug-ins. In addition, the tools PDC/T&A, Data Backup, Wage & Salary, Export & Customs, CTI & Communication and Sanction Check are used.
A particular highlight at GATHER is the use of a MAIT scanner solution, which handles stocktaking, warehousing and time recording. The CAD system is also integrated with the ERP system via an interface. The new business software enables GATHER to speed up processes within the purchasing and sales chain. The generation of production documents and package labels, as well as stocktaking, is quickly implemented.
Work steps in purchasing, sales and production planning and control have been reduced and output increased.
